Terms & Conditions

Use of Davidson County Released Inmates means acceptance of these terms. A visitor who does not agree should stop using the site and its embedded tools.

This privately owned reference is not tied to any government, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides consumer reports or services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered purpose.

Nature of This Website

Davidson County Released Inmates is a private information resource. It does not store official jail, court, release, or correctional records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, or file a request with a public office. Its pages point readers toward Davidson County and North Carolina government resources and may connect them with outside research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

Access is permitted only for lawful, respectful use. By using the site, a visitor agrees:

  • not to violate any applicable law;
  • not to stalk, threaten, harass, or harm another person;
  • not to use information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated decision;
  • not to seek unauthorized access to systems or data;
  • not to run automated bots or scrapers; and
  • not to disrupt the site or another visitor’s access.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no background check, credit report, consumer report, or screening service, and its advertising partners do not provide such a service through this site. Content may not be used for employment decisions, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance premiums, licensing, permits, public-benefit eligibility, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Resources

Links may lead to sheriff and corrections pages, release-record sources, government portals, legal resources, or independent search services. A link is not an endorsement. Davidson County Released Inmates does not control an outside site’s content, availability, prices, results, security, or handling of data. Visitors should read the terms that govern each destination.

Service Provided As Is

The website and all content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for a particular need. Partner results may omit records or return false matches. Custody data can change quickly, and nothing here is an official statement from Davidson County, NCDAC, a court, or another agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site, its owners, and its providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages tied to use of the website, reliance on content, inability to access a service, or use of an external link.

User Indemnification

A user agrees to defend and hold harmless the site, its owners, and its service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from that user’s conduct, misuse of information, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Content

Unless a separate owner is identified, the site’s original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Davidson County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, republished, modified, or distributed without prior written permission or a lawful exception.

Changes and Access

These terms may be changed at any time, with revisions effective when posted. Access may also be limited, suspended, or revoked without notice when necessary, including for misuse or risk to the service. Continued use after a revision accepts the updated terms.

North Carolina Law

North Carolina law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it lawful and enforceable.
